In the projects below, I have played leadership and mentoring roles in exploring how creative practice, creativity, futures and design can be used in community settings to support systems change. That work has always been concerned with how individuals and communities respond to crisis, and how they begin to imagine what comes next. She is a 2025 graduate of the Faber Academy Writing a Novel course at Allen &amp; Unwin, a producer of award-winning feature and short films, a former writer in residence at the Queensland Writers Centre, and a regular contributor to the magazine SINTEZO. Her current project is On a Clear Day You Can See Tomorrow, a literary novel in which an unknowable mother and her distant daughter travel together to a coastal desert town. In the thick heat they share meals and talk, or seem to, until a dust storm comes down during a visit to a fossilised bay outside the town. When it clears, the mother is gone, and the daughter is left wondering whether she had ever truly been paying attention; to her mother, or to the world around her. Written in the restrained register of Jessica Au’s Cold Enough for Snow, with the unsettling female interiority of Deborah Levy’s Hot Milk, the novel explores grief, memory, and what it means to place as part of the BARI Festival to consider water scarcity and abundance and alternative futures to water usage. Communities were offered an immersive experience, swimming amongst the light and sound installation during the event. Installed in the heritage listed Spring Hill Baths, built in 1886, the installation aimed to activate the space and open up a discussion about what our world could feel like, and inspire people to help shape it for the better in a playful and future thinking way when thinking about water.&nbsp; It asked how Australian urban and rural communities could evolve with their fragile environments, and with ongoing water shortages or increases in water that disruption brings.
